Relevant Information

The United States Embassy in Mexico and the Mexican Ministry of Education, in close collaboration with the Mexican and American Businesscummunities in Mexico, launched the fifth generation of the Youths in Action (JA) program. This year’s program consists of 102 participants from 17 States in Mexico, who  traveled to the United States this summer to develop their leadership and teamwork skills, and increase their levels of English. During their four week stay in the UnitedStates, they were living with US families and were interacting with community organizations and NGOs, as well as representatives of local and federal government.. Upon their return to Mexico, all participants are  implementing service projects that address local community issues, such as youth empowerment and violence preventions, dropout, bullying, and substance abuse.
